Desserts in London are in a league of their own. Every Summer, lists pop up of the best/newest/ most interesting desserts in London to try. I don’t have a list but I do have a recommendation….

Another 365 days.....
Sunday, December 31, 2017
I’ve just reviewed my first post of 2017, which set out what I was going to do for 2017. The key goal? Time Management, because I thought that if I managed my time better, everything else would fall into place.
In case you’re wondering, I didn’t quite get a handle on my time management – my sleeping habits have not greatly improved, my fitness faltered (greatly), I fell out of love with running and my eating habits got worse. I actually plan to see out 2017 with pizza…..
Soho Speaks - an Evening with Sharmadean Reid at Wah London
Saturday, September 30, 2017
Soho Speaks is a series of free in-store talks by the people behind independent brands established in Soho. The Series started on 14 September 2017 and a total of 5 talks are taking place.
Out of the 5 talks, I really wanted to hear Sharmadean Reid talk; she is the founder of Wah Nails. While the tickets are free, they were allocated via ballot and I was lucky enough to get tickets.
Book Review - Little Black Book
Monday, September 18, 2017

It’s been a while since I reviewed a book on my blog; that’s not to say I haven’t been reading.
One of my (many) recent reads has been Little Black Book by Otegha Uwagba, described as “a toolkit for working women”. Otegha initially self-published this book; but due to its popularity, it was picked up by a literary agent and re-published.
Loving Right Now - Special Touch Designs
Sunday, September 03, 2017
I came across Special Touch Designs (“Special Touch”) while browsing on Etsy; I was searching for a unique card for a friend’s upcoming wedding.
Broadway Market, London
Sunday, June 18, 2017
London has been experiencing some pretty great weather over the past few weekends, and we Londoners have made the best of it!
Well Street Market, London
Friday, March 10, 2017
I’m currently training for a half marathon; on my first “long run” (and by long I mean 10k/6.2 miles) I was given a leaflet for a new Market that was taking place in Hackney. Since my errands for the day would take me near the Market I thought I would check it out.
Dumpling Shack & a bit of Violet
Monday, February 27, 2017
I finally got to taste the delicious dumplings of Dumpling Shack, a small but very popular food stall at School Yard Market, little sister of Broadway Market.
So About 2016.......
Thursday, December 29, 2016
I think it is safe to say that 2016 has been an experience!
We lost more than a few well loved actors and musicians who were a part of our lives growing up; the passing of a person is never a pleasant affair, but I was particularly shocked at the deaths of Alan Rickman, Prince, Anton Yelchin, George Michael and mostly recently, mother & daughter, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher.
Politics went crazy; the shock results of Brexit and the US Presidential Election are still being felt. I can only pray and hope for a positive outcome in the long term
On a larger scale 2016 has been a humbling year to say the least. We have learnt and seen that the world is angry and in pain; the desire for change is strong.
On a smaller scale, 2016 for me has been a busy year. I still can't believe that we are mere days away from 2017. As mentioned in my previous post, returning to full time work has been very time consuming (duh!), which was partly why I had neglected this blog. However I did manage to fit in a few adventures........

It's the last day of 2015!
I shared my Lessons, now here are a few of my Highlights:
I shared my Lessons, now here are a few of my Highlights:
1. Seeing Ellie Goulding perform for a bunch of fierce & fit women and leading us in her new workout with Nike
The Sweetest Brunch: Counter – Vauxhall, London
Saturday, October 17, 2015
Last Sunday I ventured South of the River to attend a #ZomatoMeetUp with other fellow food bloggers, courtesy of Zomato.
Counter is a bar and brasserie, serving “New-York-style contemporary food and drinks” under Vauxhall Arches, merely seconds from Vauxhall Station (note to self and to others, if taking the underground, take the exit leading to Vauxhall Rail Station. As I’m not particularly South savvy, I did lose my way slightly).
Dublin Dash: Food, Food, Food
Monday, August 17, 2015
While I spent a lot of time on my feet during my few days in Dublin, when I did settle down it was to sleep or eat. One of the beauties of travelling for me is eating (in fact it’s one of the beauties of life for me). Between where I stayed in Rathmines and the City Centre there were loads of restaurants that I wanted to explore, but alas there wasn’t enough time. Or money……
But here are 3 places where I indulged my stomach:
BoBo’s Gourmet Irish Burgers
BoBo’s was the first place my friends and I ate after spending about 35 minutes walking up and down Rathmines trying to meet up with another friend!
We wanted something simple to eat and I suppose it doesn’t get much simpler than burgers.
Gyms Kitchen - Leyton, London
Monday, April 13, 2015
Gyms Kitchen is by their words, “the UK’s 1st protein based restaurant. A restaurant built without temptation.”

ClockJack - Soho, London
Tuesday, February 03, 2015
If I asked you to mention a chicken restaurant, I'm pretty confident that the first/popular response would be Nandos. For a long time Nandos has been the place to go when co-workers, families, friends and couples have wanted an affordable chicken meal; and it's easy to do so since as of 2015 there are over 300 branches in the UK alone. However there has been a rise in chicken restaurants around London.....I'm not surprised; the burger market is over saturated.
Food, Food, Food
Friday, January 23, 2015
Winter festivities may have ended for many on New Year's Day, but for me they have continued well into January in the form of catch-ups and birthday meals. Here's a lowdown what's been filling my stomach:
Strada, Riverside (More London)
Acciuga - Kensington, London
Sunday, December 07, 2014
I recently attended Acciuga as part of a #ZomatoMeetup where I and other food bloggers sampled Italian Cuisine – no, not pizza or lasagne!
Miyako at Andaz – City of London
Sunday, September 28, 2014
I had recently won a twitter competition hosted by the Food Connoisseur and Zomato. The prize? Dinner at Miyako at Andaz, part of Andaz Dining at Liverpool Street, London.
