Tate Lates
Sunday, March 04, 2018
That was the WhatsApp message that I received from my sister at 5:13pm on the last Friday of February 2018. I had intended to go straight home and get a takeaway and fall asleep on the sofa while Will and Grace was being recorded……..

Nike Run Club - London's Fastest
Wednesday, August 16, 2017
13 August 2017 was all about London’s Fastest, hosted by Nike at the Tate Modern.
Nike Run Club invited runners to form their own crews and take on a 5K in Central London which started and finished in the Tate Modern.
Igbo Festival of Arts & Culture, London
Saturday, July 15, 2017
The Summer weather has been kind to London, though at times brutally humid (I have been working in an office with NO air con and the window is dodgy). There are so many events and festivals going on…. Most of my weekends have had me out and about celebrating weddings and christenings and births.
Last weekend I went to the Igbo Festival of Arts & Culture (“the Igbo Festival”) in Charlton Park, South London. While born, raised and living in the UK, my ethnic background is Nigerian, specifically Igbo, which is one of many tribes in Nigeria. Igboland is based in Southeastern Nigeria.
Roma with my Momma
Monday, May 01, 2017
It has been donkey’s years since I travelled abroad with my Mum; she usually travels once a year to Nigeria on what I like to call an “extended family visit” to see her mum and family. For the last 10 years I have travelled with friends, for both long haul holiday and city breaks. I thought it was about time she indulged in a City Break, so one of my goals for 2017 was to take her on a short break.
I decided to take her to Rome as I felt it was quite “Mummy friendly” and we would both appreciate the sights. It would be our first time visiting and experiencing the city and country.
I Am A Spartan! Spartan Super 2015
Sunday, September 27, 2015
I thought that running a half marathon would be one of the most the physically challenging event I would do this year. And it was…until I, in a team of 5 other nutters did the Spartan Super Race last Sunday at Ashburnham Place.
Dublin Dash
Sunday, August 09, 2015
Last weekend I visited Dublin. I went to take part in the Rock n Roll Dublin Half Marathon (more on that later) and to for birthday celebrations of a friend, but also to have a bit of a break – affordable mind. I was with great company; friends and fellow runners from Nike+ Run Club Stratford (aka #e20Tigers).
Afro Hair and Beauty Live 2015
Saturday, May 30, 2015
I went to Afro Hair and Beauty Live last Bank Holiday weekend; the last time I went was in 2012. I previously wrote about AHB Live in 2012 which you can check out here.
Tighten and Tone: Ellie Goulding x N+TC
Saturday, March 07, 2015
I received an email invite by Nike Women to attend the launch of Ellie Goulding’s Tighten and Tone N+TC workout on 03 March 2015. It was last minute (i got the email maybe 18 hours before the event) and I wasn't even sure if I was going to make it because of work; nevertheless I RSVP'd for myself and a friend and hoped I would make the launch.....
Loving Right Now - Soul Rich
Sunday, February 22, 2015
It’s been a while since I acquired a mixtape; these days I tend to listen to music via YouTube or Soundcloud. But when a music artist makes quality music, it’s worth supporting their progression by purchasing their music.
I’ve been following 4i, an up and coming London rapper for a while; he is definitely one to watch.

Street Feast - Dalston Yard, London
Wednesday, September 17, 2014
My sister and I spent last Friday evening at Street Feast, which is night food market, showcasing the best of street food. Dining in London is not just about sitting in restaurants under artificial or dimmed lights....sometimes it's about congregating in random places (like disused car parks, warehouse and open spaces) and eating under the stars with great (or tolerable lol!) people. Provided the weather is good of course; and luckily for London we have had a late injection of Summer!
#ZomatoMeetUp
Sunday, September 07, 2014
I
was recently invited by Zomato for a #ZomatoMeetUp at Looking Glass, a
cocktail club in East London. I had actually won a twitter competition hosted
by Le Binh of The Food Connoisseur and Zomato (dinner at Miyako) and was subsequently
invited to the Meet Up to collect my prize.
Mexico 2013: Playa Del Carmen & Cozumel
Sunday, November 03, 2013
While it was incredibly
tempting to spend the entire 2 weeks staying on the beach at the hotel, there was
a lot to do and see!
Our hotel was about 10 minutes drive from Playa Del Carmen, which a beach resort. Along with a beautiful public beach, Playa Del Carmen also has boutique hotels, restaurants, shops, bars and clubs; it is a must visit for tourists. I can only imagine how busy it must get during high season; it was quite busy whenever I and my friends ventured to Playa Del Carmen (even when it rained ally day).

AlunaGeorge
Saturday, October 26, 2013
On 24 October 2013, my sister
and I went to see electro duo AlunaGeorge at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. It’s
been a while since I went to music gig; with my tinnitus (i.e. ringing in the
ears – it never stops!) I tend to keep away from loud venues. However with
tickets at a mere £15, I went armed with my ear plugs and prayer!
AlunaGeorge consists of Aluna Francis who sings and songwrites and George Reid who deals with instruments and production. They were formed in 2009 however in the last year or so they have really progressed in the industry and have more recognition.

What I like about Shepherd’s
Bush Empire is that it is an intimate venue; the last time I was there was in
2008 when I went to see Robin Thicke.
Fairytale
Sunday, September 01, 2013
So, it's September already.......my, my, my, how time freaking flies by!
I'm not really a Next Top Model watcher, but this morning I was watching episode 7 of season 9's Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model. The main photo shoot was about fairy tale characters; here are just a few of the pics:

Saturday, August 10, 2013
Last Saturday of my usual morning workout, I went in search of a bacon buttie (bacon sandwich) with a friend. We ended up in some kooky café in Bow, where the above song was playing.
Robyn is one of the great things to come from Sweden. ABBA and Ikea are other great exports. Thanks Sweden!
Rekordelig Midsummer House
