Desserts in London are in a league of their own. Every Summer, lists pop up of the best/newest/ most interesting desserts in London to try. I don’t have a list but I do have a recommendation….

Broadway Market, London
Sunday, June 18, 2017
London has been experiencing some pretty great weather over the past few weekends, and we Londoners have made the best of it!
That Time I Went to Copenhagen, Denmark
Sunday, May 21, 2017
In September 2016 I went to Copenhagen with a few of my friends to take part in the Copenhagen Half Marathon. Copenhagen is about a 90 minute flight from London.
Well Street Market, London
Friday, March 10, 2017
I’m currently training for a half marathon; on my first “long run” (and by long I mean 10k/6.2 miles) I was given a leaflet for a new Market that was taking place in Hackney. Since my errands for the day would take me near the Market I thought I would check it out.
Dumpling Shack & a bit of Violet
Monday, February 27, 2017
I finally got to taste the delicious dumplings of Dumpling Shack, a small but very popular food stall at School Yard Market, little sister of Broadway Market.
Rita's Revival
Friday, February 10, 2017
In the Autumn of 2016, I was feeling to eat at Rita's, but was gutted to find that it had closed at the end of July 2016. Since then I had been pining for their fried chicken and waffles.
The Sweetest Brunch: Counter – Vauxhall, London
Saturday, October 17, 2015
Last Sunday I ventured South of the River to attend a #ZomatoMeetUp with other fellow food bloggers, courtesy of Zomato.
Counter is a bar and brasserie, serving “New-York-style contemporary food and drinks” under Vauxhall Arches, merely seconds from Vauxhall Station (note to self and to others, if taking the underground, take the exit leading to Vauxhall Rail Station. As I’m not particularly South savvy, I did lose my way slightly).
Dublin Dash: Food, Food, Food
Monday, August 17, 2015
While I spent a lot of time on my feet during my few days in Dublin, when I did settle down it was to sleep or eat. One of the beauties of travelling for me is eating (in fact it’s one of the beauties of life for me). Between where I stayed in Rathmines and the City Centre there were loads of restaurants that I wanted to explore, but alas there wasn’t enough time. Or money……
But here are 3 places where I indulged my stomach:
BoBo’s Gourmet Irish Burgers
BoBo’s was the first place my friends and I ate after spending about 35 minutes walking up and down Rathmines trying to meet up with another friend!
We wanted something simple to eat and I suppose it doesn’t get much simpler than burgers.
Gyms Kitchen - Leyton, London
Monday, April 13, 2015
Gyms Kitchen is by their words, “the UK’s 1st protein based restaurant. A restaurant built without temptation.”
ClockJack - Soho, London
Tuesday, February 03, 2015
If I asked you to mention a chicken restaurant, I'm pretty confident that the first/popular response would be Nandos. For a long time Nandos has been the place to go when co-workers, families, friends and couples have wanted an affordable chicken meal; and it's easy to do so since as of 2015 there are over 300 branches in the UK alone. However there has been a rise in chicken restaurants around London.....I'm not surprised; the burger market is over saturated.
Food, Food, Food
Friday, January 23, 2015
Winter festivities may have ended for many on New Year's Day, but for me they have continued well into January in the form of catch-ups and birthday meals. Here's a lowdown what's been filling my stomach:
Strada, Riverside (More London)
Acciuga - Kensington, London
Sunday, December 07, 2014
I recently attended Acciuga as part of a #ZomatoMeetup where I and other food bloggers sampled Italian Cuisine – no, not pizza or lasagne!
Miyako at Andaz – City of London
Sunday, September 28, 2014
I had recently won a twitter competition hosted by the Food Connoisseur and Zomato. The prize? Dinner at Miyako at Andaz, part of Andaz Dining at Liverpool Street, London.

Cave of Plunder – Clapton, London

"Hangry" – when one is so hungry, one gets angry.
And that could describe the collective feeling of me and
my friends when last week we attended the launch of a new food residency at a local pub
in Hackney Downs. We were informed that there would sliders and 20% off food. The
kitchen made good on the sliders (though it took a while), but we were dismayed
to find that the kitchen wasn’t going to take and make proper meal orders. That
was the whole point of being there! And what made it worse was that the sliders
actually tasted nice and most of us knew we were going to order that particular
burger.
Alcohol was not going to solve the ‘hangry’ problem so
some of us decided to leave the pub in search of somewhere to eat. The thought
of going home on an empty stomach was too much for some if not most of our group to bear! Being an East Londoner I knew a place or two where we could catch some
much needed food…..

Street Feast - Dalston Yard, London
Wednesday, September 17, 2014
My sister and I spent last Friday evening at Street Feast, which is night food market, showcasing the best of street food. Dining in London is not just about sitting in restaurants under artificial or dimmed lights....sometimes it's about congregating in random places (like disused car parks, warehouse and open spaces) and eating under the stars with great (or tolerable lol!) people. Provided the weather is good of course; and luckily for London we have had a late injection of Summer!
#ZomatoMeetUp
Sunday, September 07, 2014
I
was recently invited by Zomato for a #ZomatoMeetUp at Looking Glass, a
cocktail club in East London. I had actually won a twitter competition hosted
by Le Binh of The Food Connoisseur and Zomato (dinner at Miyako) and was subsequently
invited to the Meet Up to collect my prize.
Loving Right Now: Skinny Burgers
Sunday, July 27, 2014
As
you can tell from my previous posts, I’m a bit of a foodie…. I especially love
my burgers. Whoever invented the concept of the burger was a genius!
Whenever
I casually meet with friends, simple & affordable food is usually on the
agenda. Burgers often fits that criteria. Even with the rise of the ‘gourmet
burger’ there are many places to eat a burger that won’t burn a hole in your
purse.
