Happy Mothers’ Day x

Today in the UK, we’re celebrating Mothers’ Day – a day for children to spoil their mothers and be on their “best behaviour”, while Mothers relax and remember the reason they have children!

I’m sure that most people will agree that their mum is a significant (if not the most significant) person in their life. She doesn’t have to be your birth mother; she is the woman who cares for you, nurtures you, disciplines you and supports you through the good and the bad.

I wish my mum a very happy Mothers’ Day. She is an honest (sometimes brutally honest) woman and a very hard worker (she works two jobs). She is the best cook in the world. She makes me laugh and cry. We may dispute over certain matters (example here), but she is always supportive.

I say this on a regular basis and every Mothers’ Day, but it never hurts to say it again: I love her and thank God that she’s my mum.

Here is the Mothers’ Day gift that I and my sister* jointly bought for her:

Tote Bag, Next
Other gifts included a Body Shop gift set from my other sister (I have two) and
a bottles of Baileys from my brother

Wishing all mothers and joyful and peaceful day x

*It's also my baby sister's birthday today.......Happy Birthday sis!
