Last night I went to Shaka Zulu a restaurant and bar lounge in Camden, for a friend’s birthday. Here are a few pics from the evening – I have to say the restaurant surroundings are amazing:
found chilling in the ladies toilets
we were greeted by some of Simba's subjects (lion king anyone?)
Food choices included Crocodile Cigars for Starters, Chicken Bunny Chow, Zebra Fillet and Ostrich Fillet. I went safe and ordered a half-rack of ribs, but I tasted the Chicken Bunny Chow and that was quite nice!
my 'safe' choice - ribs and chips
had to get my chocolate fix - choco brownie with ice-cream!
the Birthday Girl had the brandy pudding for dessert
- tasted nice
Not only was the food nice, so was the price….my friend is the owner of a “tastecard” and was able to get 50% off the food bill. We saved £54, which is tremendous because the food was not that cheap……
The venue is also used as a club; it reminds me of the Rainforest Café in Central London.
I would eat at Shaka Zulu again and next time I will be a bit more adventurous!
